This day was straight out of a movie. We were in the heart of the West Village at Palma NYC right on Cornelia Street. Nikki started the day iconically jumping with excitement on her Bowery hotel bed while her almost grooom ( Philip ) was a couple floors away. We had a first look with her father and a fun champagne pop with her besties right before having what felt like a photoshoot for Vogue with her rented vintage taxi cab. The morning was fun, glamorous, and un-rushed.
Then to the big moment where we pulled up to Palma where their intimate ceremony was held in Palma's Garden Courtyard with their closest loved ones. Everyone cried while the two exchanged vows, it was honestly so beautiful to witness. Following the ceremony, Nikki and Philip went into a side room for a private moment where they fell into one another's arms, embraced one another, and cried happy tears. It was so pure and beautiful!
Once the two were finally officially husband and wife, we celebrated by heading off in their getaway vintage taxi cab for some portraits. *OKAY THIS IS A CRAZY PART* Right before we were about to leave for portraits, the owner of Taylor Swift's old apartment ( across the street ) invited us in for a tour when he saw we were taking a couple portraits outside of it. Nikki was a huge Taylor Swift fan and we couldn't pass on walking through the doors to take a few iconic portraits on their wedding day.
From there we headed to the Washington Mews which held a very European touch to the day as well as a nod to Philip's upbringing in France. Once we returned to Palma, the couple hosted a 5 course brunch that I will be dreaming of for the rest of my life. There was sweet dances between Nikki and her father as well as Philip and his mother. Sweet words were shared with lots of cheersing!
Following the brunch, the couple said their goodbyes to some, and see you laters to the others that would be joining them for a night of pizza and dancing at an after party later that night begining at Joe's Pizza and ending whereever the night took them.
If there was a template for how I believe every wedding should be, it would be this one! Here are some of my favorite snippets of the day...
