Learning Out Loud ( LOL )

LOL caters the hands-on learning styles of creative individuals. All too often in the realm of photography education, I found it challenging to grasp concepts in a traditional lecture based setting. I mean heck, I struggle even when someone is trying to teach me how to play a new board game! I have always been the person that learned by doing and seeing. With some skin in the game. My ADHD brain thrives on a hands-on way of learning - And I believe that to be a unique gift, not something that holds me back. That’s why I have created LOL ( Learning Out Loud ). This platform is where I will deliver lessons on photography technique, client experience, and business growth will be taught with an immersive and hands on approach. It’s where we finally talk about the key elements that will take your client experience, photos, and business growth to new heights. This is a workshop I have been dreaming about for years. I can’t wait to share this with you and support YOU and your flourishing business!

Are you geeking out as much as I am right now?! Does it get dreamier than an A-frame cabin to bring these styled shoots to life?! Only the best cozy, winter vibes for the homies!

STYLED SHOOTS

We will have three separate styled shoots. 2 engagement session couples + one wedding couple ( one couple being LGBTQIA+ friendly! ). We go over posing/prompts, how to make couples comfortable + how to work with the light you are given! Not giving TOO much away. Gotta keep a few things a surprise!

9:30 AM FIRST LESSON BEGINS - BUSINESS OUTLOUD

Where we get to the good stuff and chat about; workflow, marketing, how to price, and how to attract your ideal client!

10:30 AM - 11:30 AM POSING OUT LOUD

Don’t you wish you could be a fly on the wall during another photographer’s session? Or how they go about a session with their clients? Here, you will! I will walk you through how I break down a couple’s wall and invite them into showing their authentic selves to myself and the camera! I will also bridge this into a very immersive experience, where a few of you will also get to lead about 5 minutes or so of prompting! ( if you choose to). That way we get to learn different approaches from different photographers!

11:30 AM - 1:00 PM STYLED SHOOT!!!!

Where you get to apply what you learned in the POSING OUT LOUD portion + try something new in a shoot of your own! Don’t worry, I will be right there to guide and coach you through it if you are looking for any direction!

1:00 PM BREAK FOR LUNCH

1:30 PM SECOND LESSON BEGINS - EDITING OUT LOUD

Over the second half of lunch, I will show you how I get that vintage film look using my presets ( which is exclusively shared with YOU for attending! This is not and will not be available for purchase ) as well as sharing all my techniques and tips for Lightroom and editing. Here, you will get some time to play around editing the photos you just took at the styled shoots! EEEP!

2:30 PM - 4:00 PM HEADSHOTS + COWORKING

Headshot time! Feel free to bring a change of clothes for this. This is where I will take a few headshots for you to update your website and socials! It’s GLOW. UP. SZN.

Hellooooooo Hellooooo! I’m Mackenzie. I have been a photographer since I was an excited 5 year old at the Zoo with my disposable camera, however I have been an official full time photographer in business since 2020. In 3 years, I learned how to create the life I wanted in business. I scaled my photography business from charging $700 a wedding into a 6 figure yearly revenue. I did this by asking 8 million questions to mentors, Tiktok University, countless hours on youtube, LOTS of mistakes, and investing in education like retreats + workshops. From the start of this journey, I found that there weren't too many resources to bridge the gap of creativity/passion in your art and how to make it a sustainable, successful business. I want to bridge that gap and bring my friends to the Summit, in the words of our lord and savior Taylor Swift. We all deserve to experience the freedom and success this industry offers. There is enough success to go around to everyone, and you should be a part of it!
